Audrey Osler is Professor Emerita of Human Rights Education and Citizenship at the University of Leeds and the University of South-Eastern Norway, where she taught Masters and PhD courses in human rights education. She is internationally recognised for her work on child rights and education for reconciliation in conflict-ridden settings and has taught in universities across the globe.

Audrey acts as advisor to the Council of Europe, UNESCO and various national governments. Founding Editor-in-Chief of Human Rights Education Review and Co-Chair of the International Association for Human Rights Education. Co-editor of Nordic Perspectives on Human Rights Education (Routledge, 2024, with Goldschmidt-Gjerløw). Her books are translated into many languages, including Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. Her most recent, Where are you from? No, where are you really from? (Virago, 2023), uses family narratives to discuss colonialism, migration and belonging.
